How it works

SVG is a drawing format, so it stays sharp at any size. The tool draws your SVG into every frame of the video, at Full HD in the SVG's own shape, or fitted into a landscape, square or vertical frame for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

SVG animations made with SMIL (animate elements) or CSS animations are recorded as they play in your browser, in real time, so a 10-second video takes 10 seconds to make. A still SVG becomes a video of the length you choose, which is handy for adding logos and graphics to video editors.

Some SVGs can't be recorded completely. Scripts inside an SVG don't run when it's shown as a picture, so script-driven animations stay still, and images or fonts linked from other websites don't load. SVGs that contain everything themselves work best.

Your files stay private

Frequently asked questions

How long should my video be?

For an animation that loops, choose a length that covers one or more full loops. For a still logo, 5 seconds is a good start.

Can the video have a transparent background?

No. MP4 and H.264 MOV videos can't be transparent, so choose a white or black background.

Why is my animation not moving in the video?

The animation probably uses JavaScript, which doesn't run in SVG images. Animations made with SMIL or CSS are recorded.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. The conversion happens entirely in your web browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to us or anyone else, so they stay completely private.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you convert. The only limit is your device: very large files need more memory.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac and Linux. Very large files may take longer on older phones.
