Terms of Use

TheToolZip is free to use for lawful purposes. Your files stay on your device, so keep your originals safe. Check important results before relying on them. The tools are provided “as is”.

1. Agreement

By using TheToolZip (the “Site”), operated by Muhammad Luqman, trading as TheToolZip Technologies (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. The service

The Site provides free online tools, such as file converters and unit converters, that run in your web browser. No account is needed.

We may add, change, suspend or remove any tool, or the Site as a whole, at any time.

3. Your files and your responsibilities

  • Only process files that you own or have permission to use. You are responsible for making sure that your use respects copyright, privacy and all other applicable laws.
  • Your files are processed on your own device and are never sent to us (see our Privacy Policy). This means we cannot recover lost or damaged files. Always keep a copy of your original files.
  • Some conversions change files in expected ways. For example, converting to JPG removes transparency, compression reduces quality, and file metadata may be removed. Check your results before relying on them.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or to process unlawful content;
  • try to disrupt, overload or damage the Site, or interfere with other people’s use of it;
  • use automated tools to access the Site in a way that places an unreasonable load on it;
  • copy or republish the Site, its design or its content as your own, or suggest that you are connected with us when you are not.

5. Accuracy of results

We work hard to make every conversion and calculation correct, but results are provided for general information only. They may contain errors caused by software bugs, rounding, browser limitations or damaged input files.

Do not rely on the Site alone where a mistake could cause harm or loss, for example in medical, pharmaceutical, laboratory, food-safety, engineering, legal or financial work. Always check critical results against an independent, reliable source. Nothing on the Site is professional advice.

6. Intellectual property

The Site’s design, text, logos and original code belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. The Site also uses open-source software, which is provided under its own licence terms (see our open-source licences).

Files you create with the Site belong to you (or to whoever owns the rights in the original content). We claim no rights over them.

The Site may link to websites run by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. No warranty

The Site is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will work with every file, device or browser.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, revenue or business, arising from your use of the Site or your inability to use it. Because the Site is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to 50 US dollars.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Oman. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where the law allows.

12. Translations

These Terms may be available in several languages. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
