How merging PDFs works
Merging places all the pages of your PDFs, one file after another, into a single document. It's handy for joining a contract with its attachments, collecting scanned pages, or sending one file instead of many.
The pages are copied exactly as they are, so text stays sharp and searchable and nothing is compressed again.
Everything happens in your browser. Contracts, bank statements and other private documents are never uploaded, which is safer than online tools that send your files to a server.
Your files stay private
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server, so nobody else can see them, not even us.Read our privacy policy
Frequently asked questions
Will the quality of my PDFs change?
No. Pages are copied unchanged, so text, images and drawings look exactly as before.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Not at the moment. Remove the password or protection in a PDF app first, then merge the files.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
The pages and their content are kept, including web links. Bookmarks (the outline in a PDF reader's sidebar) and fillable form fields may not carry over to the merged file.
How many PDFs can I merge?
There's no fixed limit. Each file can be up to 200 MB. Very large merges need more memory, so they work best on a computer.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion happens entirely in your web browser, on your own device. Your files are never sent to us or anyone else, so they stay completely private.
Is it really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you convert. The only limit is your device: very large files need more memory.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, Mac and Linux. Very large files may take longer on older phones.
